#2. Claudia Biçen is a self-taught artist who examines the relationship between transience and well-being. Propelled by a desire to find meaning and what really matters, her work informs the living while honoring the dying.

Recording her subjects, Bicen’s multi-media life-size portraits literally hold the subject's narrative in the weave of their garment. As she says it's "a metaphor for how we carry our stories with us."
